Location: Remote (with travel across UK)

About the Role

We are looking for a Bid Writer to join our Business Development team, responsible for developing clear, well-structured written responses across our four practice areas: Employability, Health, Education & Skills, and Economic Development.

You will work with subject matter experts and delivery teams to gather information and translate operational detail into written responses aligned to client and commissioner requirements. The role contributes to the preparation of accurate, consistent submissions and supports the overall quality and coherence of bids.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your bid writing expertise while contributing directly to Fedcap UK’s growth and success in securing new business that improves outcomes for individuals and communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Draft clear, well-structured written responses across bids and proposals 

  • Work with SMEs across Fedcap UK’s practice areas to extract and shape strong content 

  • Translate operational and technical delivery detail into accessible written responses 

  • Contribute to response planning and storyboard discussions 

  • Review and refine draft responses to improve clarity and alignment 

  • Support integration of content from multiple contributors and partners 

  • Undertake research and evidence gathering to strengthen submissions 

  • Manage assigned bid sections and deliver to deadline 

  • Incorporate feedback from senior team members to strengthen responses 

  • Use AI-enabled tools appropriately to support research and drafting

     

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, collaborative and committed to producing high-quality written work. You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to develop structured responses aligned to client requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in bid writing, proposal development or structured written responses 

  • Strong written English with clear and concise communication skills 

  • Ability to work with subject matter experts to gather content 

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidance 

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines 

  • Understanding of bid development with interest in public sector procurement
