This role provides a critical function in ensuring technical training excellence across global data center operations. You will serve as the subject-matter expert for reviewing, validating, and standardizing training materials that support operational reliability, safety, and compliance. The position involves collaborating with engineering, operations, and learning teams to maintain a current and effective training library, ensuring technicians are equipped with the skills needed to meet industry standards and operational expectations. You will assess technical content, guide training tool usage, and provide input on industry updates to maintain alignment with cutting-edge data center practices. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that blends technical expertise with adult learning principles and stakeholder collaboration. The environment is fast-paced, mission-critical, and global, offering opportunities to impact operational performance and workforce competence. Moderate travel is required, providing exposure to multiple sites and operational contexts.

Accountabilities:

  • Review technical training scripts, lesson plans, and Sequences of Operations (SOOs) for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational standards
  • Validate technical assessments to ensure they measure competency and operational readiness for data center technicians
  • Standardize training content across sites while accommodating site-specific requirements
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Learning & Development teams to maintain and improve the training library
  • Provide technical input on training tools, platforms, and delivery methods to enhance learning effectiveness
  • Monitor vendor updates and industry developments, ensuring training reflects current technologies and operational best practices
  • Ensure all training content supports safety, compliance, and operational excellence objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a data center MEP technician role, ideally within hyperscale, enterprise, or colocation environments
  • Practical knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including electrical distribution, mechanical cooling, and monitoring/control systems
  • Strong understanding of Sequence of Operations (SOO), system design, and industry best practices for safety, security, reliability, and availability
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and experience reviewing technical training content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail, governance mindset, and ability to make decisions impacting training quality and operational risk
  • Collaborative, pragmatic approach aligned with operational safety and reliability
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40%
